A writer’s favorite award may be money, but a close second is time. Writing
retreats offer this to the residents they choose. Every writer’s needs
differ in terms of length of residency, locales, facilities, expenses,
deadlines, application requirements, and other details, so a variety of
choices is listed below (in alphabetical order).
On the Web, visit the retreat’s individual site, the Alliance
of Artists Communities, Pilot-Search, or Yahoo!
for more guidance. Check with individual retreat materials (on the Web
or in print) for the most up-to-date details.
