Thanks for forwarding the article on David Amram, whom I enjoy and have followed for over 30 years! I first heard him play at a tiny club in the West Village called the Saint James Infirmary in 1975. Also, I was lucky to ride with David in a car once from Saint Peter's Jazz Church to Small's jazz club in Manhattan one evening. Additionally, as a journalist I wrote the liner notes for Norman Savitt's guitar duo CD, which includes some songs with Norman and David. Great to be friends with such a good interviewer as you are!
