The Arts America Program

The American Participant Program
WHO’S ELIGIBLE: Individuals involved in literature or the arts.
PURPOSE: To stimulate the productive exchange of ideas and knowledge between foreign audiences and Americans who are foremost in their fields . Participants visit at least two countries for a period of two weeks where they perform speaking engagements.
AWARDS: Travel abroad, a per diem payment of $100 per working day while away and all related expenses.

The Fulbright Program for American Scholars
WHO’S ELIGIBLE: Scholars and professionals
PURPOSE: To increase mutual understanding between the people of the United States and the people of other countries by sending over 1000 scholars and professionals a year to more than 100 countries. These individuals are supported so they lecture or conduct research in a wide variety of academic and professional fields including literature and the arts.
