Strange, but engaging story. It would be interesting to read more of her work.

Bathwater:
a well-told story and a little, what should I say, scary, I guess. It would be interesting to read more stories by Deborah Seidner!

I find it difficult to read anything with the continuous flapping and flashing of the ads on top. Gives me a headache. Can't focus on the writing.

Any way to turn these things off?

thanks. I'd love to be able to enjoy your 'zine!

Editor's Note: Though we agree that advertisements in a literary magazine are annoying, our writers (past, present and future) may very well disagree. It's a sad fact of life, but advertisements pay the bills - which means we can pay our writers - and they can continue to bring you the best writing on the Net.

Deborah Seidner's "Bathwater" in the September issue of your magazine is superb. An eerie, highly original study in paranoia and depression. Deborah is very talented and I look forward to seeing more of her work in the future.

Sincerely, Rachel Terner Vogel

Dear Jill Hill, I just wanted to write with a note of thanks for your kind words about my story, "Fundamentals of Communication," in your piece on Atlantic Unbound. My collection comes out from the U of Iowa Press in October; would you have any interest in reviewing it? Let me know.

Again, thank you.

And now our strangest correspondence to date...

Subject: Re: Pif Magazine Submission

Dear Jen Bergmark:

Thanks for your kind response. I accept this letter you have written to me as a binding document, and you have no further rights of any kind to my submission. For your infomration, I am Michael the Archangel, and this particular rant that I wrote is destined to become very, very famous and would have been a real feather in PIF's cap, as Major Major would say. At the same time, your rejection of it is a black eye for PIF, as Major Major also would say. No hard feelings, though. And have a pleasant day.

Sincerely,

Mark Gerard Miller
