Chiaka Ukachukwu Obasi lives in Nigeria. His works are either published or will soon be published in www.sarabamag.com, Reindeer, a transport magazine based in West Africa , Radiophonics in www.transculturalwriting.com, Crossroads, an anthology of poems in honour of late Christopher Okigbo, Water Testament an anthology of Nigerian poems on water and water related issues, Fast-forward press volume 2 edited by K. Scott Forman, Kona Morris and Nancy Stohlman, Anthology of the Awkward, edited by Kona Morris and many other literary journals. Obasi has also participated in two Creative Writing workshops in Nigeria organized by British Council and Farafina Trust and facilitated by Dr. Graham Mort and Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie respectively. His unpublished work was on the 2009 shortlist of Association of Nigerian Authors/Lantern Book Prize for children’s fiction and got an Honourable mention. His short story ''Breaking the Silence'' was the first runner-up for the Centre for Human Development (CHD) prize in Creative Writing with support from Ford Foundation. He is interested in Theatre for Development (TfD) and loves traveling and meeting people.
