She is author of Prisoners of Hope: Exploiting the POW/MIA Myth in America (Random House), which was named Best Book on the Vietnam War for 1994 by the American War Library. She writes for George Magazine, Voter.com and Military.com. Her work has also appeared in Readers Digest and Soldier of Fortune. Her fiction has appeared in Electric Acorn, the website of the Dublin Writers Workshop. She lives with her family in the woods surrounding an old Civil War outpost in Virginia.
