It’s easy to get lost inside these colors

like a liquid dream that never stops bleeding

There is a space in the corner of my mind

that is always empty,

always screaming at me for more

The night lashes out with its stinging tongue

My back is bruised with hues of blacks and blues

that form shapes like nightmares,

like the glorious verse I know I will never write
